Our Mission | 我们的使命
Wild Wise Australia is a community-focused outdoor education initiative that makes Australian outdoor knowledge more accessible through education, resources, community engagement, and cross-cultural connection. Our current work has a strong focus on Chinese-speaking communities, while contributing to a longer-term vision of more inclusive outdoor participation for culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
野智澳洲Wild Wise Australia 是一个以社区为基础的户外教育项目，通过户外教育、实用资源、社区参与与跨文化连接，让澳洲户外知识变得更加容易获得。目前，我们的工作重点聚焦华语社区，同时希望通过持续实践，为未来更多不同文化和语言背景的社区参与澳洲户外活动创造更包容的可能性。
Why Wild Wise Australia?
为什么创立野智澳洲？
Wild Wise Australia was created to help bridge the gap between culturally diverse communities and the Australian outdoors.
Language, cultural differences, unfamiliarity with Australian environments, and limited access to trusted information and outdoor networks can all create barriers to participation.
Beginning with Chinese-speaking communities, Wild Wise brings together outdoor education, cross-cultural communication and community engagement to make outdoor knowledge more accessible and build stronger connections between communities and the Australian outdoor sector.
语言差异、文化背景、对澳洲自然环境的不熟悉，以及缺乏可信赖的信息和户外网络，都可能成为参与澳洲户外活动的障碍。
Wild Wise 从华语社区出发，将户外教育、跨文化沟通与社区参与结合起来，让户外知识更加容易获得，同时在不同社区与澳洲户外行业之间建立更好的连接。

Wild Wise Australia works at the intersection of outdoor education, community engagement and cross-cultural communication.
We welcome partnerships with outdoor organisations, peak bodies and community partners who share our vision for more accessible and culturally inclusive outdoor participation.
We are particularly interested in partnerships around community education, resource development, workshops, training and outdoor learning experiences — bringing together community insight, cultural understanding and professional outdoor expertise.

Meet the Founder
Yushan Luo — Founder & Initiator, Wild Wise Australia
Outdoor educator, teacher and outdoor leader with a Chinese cultural background and a Master's in International Communication.
Working across the Australian outdoor sector and Chinese-speaking communities, she brings together outdoor education, cross-cultural communication and community understanding.
Recipient of the 2026 Trailblazer Award — Outdoors NSW & ACT

Xiaohongshu (RedNote) is one of China’s leading social media and lifestyle platforms, widely used for discovering information, learning from real-life experiences and connecting through interest-based communities.
It is currently Wild Wise Australia’s primary platform for engaging with Chinese-speaking communities, where we share practical outdoor education and safety information, listen to community needs and better understand barriers to outdoor participation.
